Otros comentarios sobre la Evaluación
Continuous assesment (this will be the preferred evaluation system): It consists of several tests that will be developed throughout the period of teaching, and a written test to be held on the official date of the 1st Edition exam, as indicated in the table above, which shows the percentage of each test in the final qualification.
As a summary:
  • Self-assessment: 15%. All students may take this activity, but its inclusion in the final qualification will be linked to the attendance to a minimum of 75% of the theory classes. Exceptional cases of impossibility to comply with this rule must be duly justified.
  • Performance at lab classes and reports: 15%.
  • Presentation and defense of a group work: 25%.
  •  Written exams: 45% distributed in two written tests: 20% the first one and 25% the second one. In this second test it will be essential to achieve a minimum grade of 40% of its value to pass the subject.
-  - Students who follow the continuous evaluation procedure must compulsorily participate in all the activities listed above, being their final grade the sum of the scores achieved in each specific assessment, with the weighting shown in the table above. To pass the continuous evaluation of the course must obtain a qualification equal to or higher than 5 points out of 10, in addition to achieving a minimum grade of 40% in the grade corresponding to the second written exam.

- If this minimum is not reached, the grade that would appear in the minutes would be a maximum of 4.5, even if the sum of the assessment of the different activities is higher.
 - In exceptional cases in which a student cannot participate in a specific session of the above activities, the teacher will agree with the student an alternative activity or test, which will allow him/her to continue with the development of the subject without detriment in the evaluation process.
- Students who must take the second edition of the evaluation may keep the qualification obtained in the practical evaluation tests (practical report and defense of the work = 40% final grade) and take a written exam with objective questions in which the theoretical contents of the course will be evaluated and which will be weighted 60% of the final grade. The test will take place on the official date set by the EEI.

Global Evaluation: Those students who do not wish to take advantage of the continuous evaluation procedure, must follow the procedure for waiving continuous evaluation established by the direction of the EEI, complying with the official deadlines. In this case, both in the first and in the second edition, the evaluation will be carried out by means of a single written exam, which will take place on the official dates established by the center. The exam will consist of objective questions on the totality of the theoretical and practical contents developed in the subject, representing 100% of the student's qualification. In order to pass the global evaluation and must achieve a minimum qualification of 5 out of 10.

Extraordinary Call: it will be carried out according to the global evaluation system, on the date previously set by the EEI. It consists of a single written exam that will evaluate the totality of the theoretical and practical contents of the subject, and will represent 100% of the final grade.Ethical commitment: The student is expected to present a suitable ethical behavior, in accordance with the ethical code of the University of Vigo and the EEI. According to Article 42.1 of the Regulation on the evaluation, qualification and quality of teaching and the learning process of the students of the University of Vigo, (Approved by the Senate on April 18, 2023): "The fraudulent action in any evaluation test will involve the qualification of zero (suspense) in the minutes of the evaluation opportunity of the corresponding call, regardless of the value on the overall qualification of this had the test in question and without prejudice to the possible consequences of disciplinary nature that may occur".
