Other comments on the Evaluation

There are two assessment systems: Continuous Assessment and Global Assessment. Students may waive the Continuous Assessment and go on to the Global Assessment by writing to the subject coordinator within the following deadlines: First Semester: from 11 September to 11 October (both days included).

- Non-attendance (non-continuous assessment system - second opportunity), with a final exam that may include theoretical and/or practical content by means of multiple-choice, short, essay or case study questions. The exam will consist of a theoretical part (short questions and/or test) (50%) and a practical part (50%). It will be necessary to pass both parts separately (5 points out of 10). This test is aimed at assessing the understanding of the concepts acquired in the subject, accounting for 100% of the mark, and will assess not only the concepts of the subject, but also the clarity of the exposition and the correct grammatical and spelling use in those parts that require it.

  - Face-to-face (continuous assessment system), it will consist of solving three knowledge tests, which would contain exercises (problem solving and/or exercises) and answers to short and/or multiple-choice questions (objective question exam). Theoretical part (50%), practical (40%). It will be necessary to pass both parts separately (5 points out of 10) to pass the knowledge test. To pass the subject it is necessary to have passed the three knowledge tests along with the laboratory practice, which represents 10% of the grade.

The final mark will be the sum of the three knowledge tests, to do the sum you must have passed all of them. Minimum grade to pass the course is 5.

All those tests not passed will be made up in the official exam session (January).

- The specific characteristics of the final exam, both in the on-site assessment (July) and in the off-site assessment, will be detailed by the teachers of the subject (in class and through the MOOVI platform) in advance and within the framework of the legal deadlines established by the University of Vigo.

- In all exams it will be compulsory to identify yourself officially (ID card, passport or official substitute document) and it is forbidden to carry mobile phones, smartphones, or any other electronic device, even if they are switched off or at rest. Failure to comply with these two conditions will invalidate the call for applications.

- The dates and times of the assessment tests for the different sessions are those specified in the calendar of assessment tests approved by the Xunta de Centro for the current year. In the event of conflict or disparity between the dates of the exams, those indicated on the FCETOU website will prevail.

Second call (July): will be evaluated with a final exam of all the contents of the subject that may include theoretical and / or practical content through questions that may be multiple-choice, short, developmental, or case studies.

- Weighting range between 20% and 50%.
