Lecturing Presentation by the lecturer of the main concepts and key topics of the course.
Seminars The communication of scientific works in international congresses
Problem solving Resolution of a practical case: Impact of the global change in the Estuary of Vigo.
Laboratory practical Laboratory simulation exercises:

Determination of metabolic rates: phytoplankton primary production. Estimation of photosynthesis–irradiance (P–I) curves.
Multivariate statistical techniques: from data visualization to hypothesis testing.
Seminars Group tutorials will be conducted to monitor the progress of the project to be presented at the end of the course as a scientific poster and oral communication. Students will be expected to present their progress, justify their methodological and scientific decisions, and participate in the critical discussion of their own work and that of their peers under the supervision of the lecturer.
Presentation Students will deliver an oral presentation of a review project on a topic related to the course content, following the format commonly used at scientific conferences. The lecturer may, when appropriate, require the submission of a written report corresponding to the presented work.
