Some of the most relevant issues in our discussions will be: the interaction betwen high culture and low or mass culture, the textual/cultural negotiation in contemporary literature and film, cultural and intersemiotic translation as a form of intertextuality, representation and space in modern literature, visual and textual representations of gender and identity, aiming to create a truly interdisciplinary forum for conceptual and theoretical debate. |
