Other comments on the Evaluation

Continuous Evaluation:

Students must choose between continuous evaluation, which consists of three tests throughout the semester plus the completion and submission of a group project at the end of the semester (these assessments make up 100% of the final grade), or alternatively, non-continuous evaluation, which involves a comprehensive final exam covering the entire course material during the official exam periods (100% of the final grade).

The evaluation method described in the previous section of this guide ('Evaluation') applies to continuous evaluation. Continuous evaluation includes theoretical and practical tests on the course content, represented by two partial tests, which account for 40% of the continuous evaluation grade and are mandatory. Students must take and pass both scheduled partial tests, obtaining at least 5 out of 10 on each to pass and to be able to add the other evaluations of the course to the final grade. Failure to pass both partial tests will result in a failing grade recorded in the final transcript (NP if applicable). Additionally, to be eligible for continuous evaluation, it is essential to complete and submit the group project by a specific deadline set by the instructor (May/June). Failure to submit the group project on the stipulated date will result in a failing grade (NP if applicable). Students in this situation must take a comprehensive exam covering the entire course (100% of the course content), with a format similar to that used for non-continuous evaluation.

Students wishing to opt out of continuous evaluation must do so within the period set by the Faculty each year.

Students can also choose to disregard the grades obtained during continuous evaluation and take the comprehensive exam during the second opportunity exam period (100% of the course content), graded out of 10 points (with a format similar to that used for non-continuous evaluation). The grade for this exam will be the final grade recorded. If the student fails this 10-point exam, they must take another exam in July, following the same format (10 points covering the entire course content).

Non-Continuous Evaluation:

During the regular exam period and for the second opportunity exam period, students opting for this modality must take a comprehensive exam covering all course content (100% of the course content, valued at 10 points). This exam consists of two parts: a theoretical-practical part and another part where students must demonstrate their acquired skills and competencies through a practical exercise using a spreadsheet in a computer lab. Each part requires a minimum score of 5 out of 10 to pass. Failure to achieve the minimum score in either part will result in a failing grade.

Final Year Exam:

For the final year exam, the assessment will be worth 100% of the grade, valued at 10 points, with a format similar to that proposed for non-continuous evaluation.

Additional Notes:

Specific details of the course will be developed and published on the Moovi e-learning platform. All previously mentioned evaluation comments will be detailed and permanently accessible on the Moovi platform for students to easily and directly access throughout the course.

Differences in evaluation systems and methodologies among different centers offering the Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management at the University of Vigo are justified by the need to adapt to measuring the achievement of the same learning outcomes and acquisition of the same competencies to the different teaching organizations of each center, especially regarding the type of groups and the average number of students per group.

Evaluation tests are planned to be conducted in person. However, if it is not possible to use the necessary spaces and/or faculty for the tests, they may be conducted remotely through various telematic resources available at Uvigo (Moovi platform, email, remote campus, or, if necessary, oral tests)
