The subject pretends to provide to the student of Infirmary the basic linguistic skills that will allow him use the English in the professional field and academician.
The contents of the subject enter to the student in the terminology of the sciences of the health and improve his capacity to make communicative tasks in English in the area of the infirmary:
work with texts of the matter, to purchase the basic vocabulary concerning the clinical surroundings and to the sanitary system
communicate *oralmente and by writing with patients and professional of the health, being able to inform and converse, to a sufficient level, on diagnostic and treatments, resolving doubts or queries of the patients or familiar.
Understand sufficiently the language in conferences on professional subjects,
consult specific bibliography, etc.
as well as be able to use the specific vocabulary related with the sanitary field: anatomy, symptoms, syndromes and illnesses, forms, team *interdisciplinar, as well as the structures of the scientific texts.
