CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT SYSTEM

SET OF TESTS 1: Theoretical evaluation

Description: Completion of questionnaires and exam teststhroughout the course which will include evaluation of theoretical concepts andexercise resolution.

Methodologies applied: Problem-solving, Examination ofobjective questions.

Grading: 40% Minimum: 1.5 marks

Minimum: 1.5 marks (out of 4).

Learning and training outcomes: A5, B2, C12

Intended outcomes of the subject: RA2, RA4, RA5

TEST 2: Practical MERE

Description: Individual written test consisting of solving a problem using the MERE. In additional, the transformation to the Relational Model must be carried out.

Methodology applied: Laboratory practicals.

Description: Individual test involving the resolution of exercises related to the modification and manipulation of data stored in a database.

Procedure for choosing the overall assessment mode: The student is considered to have opted for the global assessment system if they does not taken the first test of the continuous assessment system.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA FOR THE FORMAL RESIT EXAM CALL (2nd EXAM OPPORTUNITY) AND FORMAL END-OF-DEGREE EXAMINATIONS CALL

Students under the continuous assessment system:

- They must take Test 1, which is detailed below, if they have not obtained a grade of 1.5 marks (out of 4) in the Set of Tests 1 of continuous assessment at the first sitting.

- They must take Test 2, as detailed below, if they have not obtained the minimum marks in the continuous assessment Tests 2, 3 and 4 at the first sitting.

Students under the overall assessment system:

- They must take Test 1, which is detailed below, if they have not obtained the grade of 1.5 marks (out of 4) in Test 1 of the overall assessment exam at the first sitting.

- They must take Test 2, as detailed below, if they have not obtained the minimum grade of 2.5 marks (out of 6) in Test 2 of the overall assessment exam at the first sitting.

GRADING PROCESS OF THE FORMAL EXAM CALLS

Regardless of the evaluation system and the exam being taken, in the case of not passing any part of the evaluation, even though the overall score is higher than 4 (out of 10), the grade in the formal exams will be 4.
