- Selection of topics discussed in the coursebook, covering (mainly but not exclusively) Reported speech, Relative clauses, Passive constructions, Conditional sentences, Infinitive and/vs -ing constructions, Introductory-it, Cleft- and What-sentences, Wh-ever constructions, Coherence and Cohesion strategies.

B. Vocabulary
- Selection of topics discussed in the coursebook, covering (mainly but not exclusively) collocations, word formation, and academic English.

C. Tasks modelled on Cambridge Advanced Examination (CAE)
- Practice exercises discussed in the coursebook, covering open cloze exercises, word transformation tasks, gapped sentences, and key-word transformation tasks.

- Multiple choice, multiple matching, cross-text multiple matching, gapped text

B. Fiction book
- Reading comprehension of a fiction book set as compulsory reading (cf. Bibliography section).

- Interpreting text register, and writer/audience relationship concerning ideas, opinions, suggestions, and attitudes.
