The main objective of this subject is to go in depth in the knowledge of the properties and reactivity of the functional groups. After a detailed study of the reactions of nucleophile substitution and elimination, the reactions of addition to carbonyl group, of the carboxylic acid derivatives and of the reactivity in alpha to carbonyl group will be tackled. It will continue with the main reactions of oxidation-reduction in organic chemistry and finally the reactivity of the bifunctional carbonyl compounds will be study.
