This subject has the objective of providing knowledges in several fields, always related to chemistry, in relation with the marine environment.
Therefore, the students will adquire theoretical and practical knowledge in different fields of important application as wastewater treatment, seawater desalination and marine biotechnology.
On the other hand the students will receive a theoretical training-practice of the principles that illustrate the analysis of pollutants, especially regarding the sample preparation and analysis, in the several compartments of marine environment. The importance of sample conservation and quality control will be also explained.
Consequently the student will attain a generic and integrated vision of the potential of Chemistry related to marine environment.
