Ideally, students will have entered though one of the above routes and have a clear vocation for Mining Engineering. The specific personal features (aptitudes, sensitivities, particular capabilities, etc.) and academic attributes that are sought after in ideal candidates for the Degree in Mining and Energy Resources Engineering at the University of Vigo are: Knowledge of core sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Geology. Concern for issues related to natural resources and interest in knowing about phenomenon linked to them, together with a concern for environmental issues. Capacity for analysis, summary and logical reasoning. Basic skills in oral and written expression and reading comprehension. Basic social skills for team work. Willingness to be an active part of the teaching-learning process, concern for quality and motivation to achieve objectives.
