OTHER GUIDELINES REGARDING CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT
- In order to qualify for the assessment percentages indicated above, students must submit all supervised assignments and complete their corresponding presentations.
- Attendance is compulsory. In order to be assessed for the practical component of the course, attendance at practical sessions is an essential requirement. Students with more than 25% unexcused absences will not be assessed.
- The examination will take place on the official dates approved by the Faculty.
- To pass the course, students must pass both the practical component (70%) and the theoretical examination component (30%).
- Students who, for justified reasons, are unable to attend classes regularly must opt for the global assessment system.
- Assignments submitted after the established deadline will not be assessed.
- The assessment system for the July/resit examination period will be the same as that of the corresponding semester examination period, except that practical assessments (supervised assignments and case studies) must be completed individually.
GUIDELINES REGARDING THE GLOBAL ASSESSMENT SYSTEM
- The global assessment system will apply to students who expressly waive the continuous assessment system, which is the recommended assessment method for this course.
- This waiver must be submitted within the first month of teaching, following the procedures established in the protocol approved by the Faculty Board of Communication and after informing the course instructor.
- The global assessment system will consist of an official theoretical examination (30%), a practical examination comprising several practical tasks (20%), and the submission of the course projects, which must be completed individually (35%) and presented to the course instructor (15%).
- Each assessment component must be passed separately in order to pass the course.
- Global assessment tests will only be conducted on the official date approved by the Faculty.
- Project-based assessments must be submitted on that official date and will not be accepted at any other time.
- Tutorials consisting of explanations of theoretical or practical content covered during face-to-face sessions will not be provided.
- No additional materials beyond those available on the Moovi virtual learning platform will be provided to students who opt out of the continuous assessment system.
