In this subject, it will be described (in four main topics) the newest progress of the Analytical Chemistry based in the tendencies and advances in the analysis (Topic 1), the bioanalysis (Topic 2), the chemical sensors and biosensors (Topic 3), the automation and miniaturization (Topic 4) and the validation of methodologies (Topic 5). The Topic 6 is dedicated to device design, describing how devices are manufactured and how the various configurations on the market work (progres that will put in practice in the workshops). With all this, the students will be able to complete their training and integrate the knowledges obtained on Analytical Chemistry, providing them a wider vision and very current that will allow them tackle the resolution of real analytical problems in areas of special interest like the clinic, the biomedicine, the forensic sciences, the environment, the industry (both chemical and food), etc. Special emphasis will be placed on versatility of these techniques as a tool for solving problems in the aforementioned areas, whether the analysis is performed in the chemical laboratories (analysis centralised that involves transport and storage of the sample and in where special taking importance the automatization to reduce errors) or directly on sample collection site (analysis "in situ" or decentralised because of the advantages of the miniaturisation and, therefore, in the devices considers the portability, the easy handle and the rapidity of answer, especially, with which apply like methods of sifted).
With all this, pretends that the student can purchase the sufficient skill, in the first place, in the handle of the sources of bibliographic documentation and, second, in the necessary knowledge on the principles or foundations of the different methodologies that pose and that have given place to diverse commercial devices, so that it can apply the analytical methodology in the resolution of real problems.
Matter of the program English Friendly: the/ace international students will be able to follow the classes without difficulty then , so much the visual material (presentations in PowerPoint) like the bibliography recommended, presents in also in English, in addition to having to his disposal another material of support for the follow-up of the matter in English and to be able to request to the lecturer or faculty any another material or additional bibliographic references in this language. They will attend the interventions in class, the tutoring and the realisation of the proofs and evaluations also in English.
Matter Offered for the Program of Greater; to the students of this program that take this matter, will facilitate them material of support in Spanish (books of text, monographs, articles, etc.) so that they can follow fluently the contents, in addition to having of the bibliography recommended and the complementary.
