This subject, given in the 3er course of the Degree in Chemistry, offers an introduction to the Chemical Engineering, in which they relate the knowledges purchased in the degree of chemistry with his application in the processes of the chemical industry. The main aim of the matter is that the student purchase the basic knowledges in balances of matter and energy and apply his knowledges to the design of unitary operations of separation like the distillation or the liquid extraction-liquid. Besides, this matter serves of base to comprise the contents of other subjects like Environmental Chemistry, Alimentary Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry. Matter of the program English Friendly and Português Amigável: With the end of integration of the international students, the professor offers the possibility to the student of:a) have of materials and bibliographic references for the follow-up of the matter in English, b) receive tutorías in English, c) make the proofs and evaluations in English.
