This subject will focus on one of the empirical methodologies for the study of translation and interpreting that is most widely spread: the use of textual corpora of translations and originals to trace, identify, describe and classify different translation phenomena.
Although the presentation focuses on the analysis of written translation, and specifically on issues related to Comparative Stylistics, the methodology is applicable to the study of other types of phenomena, both translation and interpreting.
This subject incorporates the gender perspective in its contents, methodology and evaluation.
