Given the uncertain and unpredictable evolution of the health alert caused by COVID-19, the University of Vigo establishes an extraordinary planning that will be activated when the administrations and the institution itself determine it, considering safety, health and responsibility criteria both in distance and blended learning. These already planned measures guarantee, at the required time, the development of teaching in a more agile and effective way, as it is known in advance (or well in advance) by the students and teachers through the standardized tool.
=== ADAPTATION OF METHODOLOGIES ===
To adapt the didactic methodologies to the new situation it will be necessary to add a new teaching methodology taking into account the type of session.
Master session and / or synchronous virtual practical session: It is taught through a web videoconference platform. Each virtual classroom contains a variety of display panels and components, the layout of which can be customized to best suit the needs of the classroom. In the virtual classroom, teachers (and those authorized participants) can share their computer's screen or files, use a whiteboard, chat, stream audio and video, or participate in interactive online activities (surveys, questions, etc.).
Thus, the practical sessions of the subject will be carried out online by using the virtual machine provided for this purpose through e-learning platforms, in a demonstrative setting.
In the specific case of seminars and presentations of work in the classroom, they will be conveniently adapted to be carried out through online platforms (participatory videoconferences and / or similar).
=== ADAPTATION OF THE EVALUATION ===
The evaluation of the course is divided into continuous evaluation in a theory exam, a laboratory exam, a presentation on a topic proposed by the teaching staff and an associated deliverable. In a non-attendance situation, the evaluation of the exams must be adapted to a distance methodology. The same occurs with the presentations that will be carried out remotely through e-learning platforms. The submission of the deliverable will not need any adaptation.
As for the ordinary and extraordinary evaluation, the evaluation of the theory and laboratory exams will be adapted to a distance methodology.
In any case, the evaluation exams would be carried out by combining the Moovi online-teaching platform and the Remote Campus of the University of Vigo. |
