The course focuses on learning the main concepts related to relational database design and declarative querying. The theoretical foundations of the relational model are introduced, and database design is approached from the perspective of Entity-Relationship conceptual modeling. The standard SQL language is used for database implementation and declarative querying. Special attention is given to its application in the field of AI.
