The subject of Pedagogical Bases of Special Education is optional in the 4th year in the curriculum of the Degree in Primary Education, so it tries to complement the training on the conceptualization of the educational field that deals with subjects with specific needs of educational support. In the same sense, decision making, the management of appropriate resources and instruments, and the internalization of educational intervention guidelines that are most suitable to facilitate learning will be the essential aspects that will be worked on in this matter.
We consider that the Primary Education teacher must acquire a series of competencies to be able to implement an ideal educational response according to the specific educational support needs presented by the students, keeping in mind the framework of an inclusive school.
