The course addresses the fundamentals of environmental engineering applied to the forest environment, integrating the study of wastewater treatment, air pollution, solid waste management, and environmental assessment. It analyses the physical, chemical, and biological processes involved in the treatment and control of pollutants, as well as the available technologies for their mitigation. It also introduces environmental management tools such as life cycle assessment, standardized management systems, and current regulations, with the aim of providing a comprehensive overview of sustainability and natural resource management in rural and forest environments.
