General description
The course aims to help students recognize the meaning, content, and various theories on governance, globalization, and human rights; identify ethical and moral problems at the international level, analyzing the relationship between governance and the improvement of democratic quality, and the problem of corruption and political disaffection. It also aims to help students identify the foundations of comparative international politics in a context of globalization and the instruments for consensus-building between states.
This is a subject in the English Friendly and Portuguese Friendly programs: International students may request from the faculty: a) materials and bibliographical references to follow the course in English or Portuguese; b) attend tutorials in English or Portuguese; c) tests and assessments in English or Portuguese.
Program Description: English Friendly and Portuguese Friendly: These are official undergraduate and master's degree courses at the University of Vigo taught in Spanish/Galician. However, teaching staff are required to: Indicate the English and Portuguese Friendly nature of the course in the teaching guide, following the procedure established by the Vice-Rector's Office; Translate the teaching guide into English and Portuguese during the editing period, paying special attention to the general description, content, and assessment; Provide materials and bibliographical references for following the course in English and Portuguese, if requested by the international student; Attend tutorials in English and Portuguese, if requested by the international student; Design and implement tests and assessments in English and Portuguese, if requested by the international student; Whenever possible, PPT presentations or other formats will be uploaded to the MOOVI space in two versions (English and Portuguese, and Spanish/Galician). The practical exercises/case studies will be offered in English or Portuguese, as well as in Spanish/Galician, whenever possible.
