Previous knowledge on differential equations, physics and mechanics is strongly recomended.
The course is intended to acquire essential knowledge needed to analyze devices with fluid as a workingmaterial, such us hydraulic machinery, lubrication devices, heating and cooling systems, piping systems, pneumatic systems, aero and hydrodynamics devices, wind turbines, etc. The course includes stress and strain rate descriptions, fluid statics, differential and finite control volume analysis with continuity, momentum, and energy equations, Bernoulli and Euler equations, dimensional analysis, and laminar and turbulent one-dimensional pipe flow.
